Success stories
We have helped well over 1,000 rabbits to safety since we began. Some have gone directly to their forever homes, whilst many more have gone on to our fabulous rescue partners and been rehomed through them. Our team have each chosen their favourite success story to share below!
Joanna's favourite success story: Jack
"I think one of our most memorable achievements was recusing 48 rabbits from a situation in Cornwall. The lady who owned them was unfortunately suffering from a degenerative pausey illness and was relying on others to clean and care for them. Conditions were filthy, hutches were tiny and there had already been several accidental litters. We knew we had to break the cycle. It was tough call but we managed, with our rescue partners, to find spaces for all rabbits in the space of just four months! Many have already been rehomed to wonderful new homes with bonded friend. Jack, pictured here, was in foster with me so we could vaccinate and neuter him, before going on to be rehomed through the wonderful rescue The Bunny Jackpot Foundation with two lovely friends."
Vicky's favourite success story: Hetti
"My success story is Hetti. She came to us as surrender when her guardian went to university. Hetti was 8 years old and had always been a lone bun. She was adopted by a lovely family with a recently bereaved older rabbit and she’s now living her best life and is proof that it’s never too late to bond."
Kat's favourite success story: Mr. Nubs
"My success story is Mr. Nubs. He had been through a lot before he came to us; the female rabbit and their four babies were killed by a fox, and he was being kept in a laundry basket after that. He was so sweet and so trusting despite everything that happened to him, and absolutely adored having space to binky and a sofa to stretch out on. It's amazing being able to witness a little life be totally transformed."
