Stress awareness and the pressure on rabbit rescues

The 5th of November marked Stress Awareness Day. Today, we’re taking a moment to talk about a kind of stress that often goes unseen — the emotional and financial strain that rabbit rescues face every single day.
Rescue work is full of love, but it’s also full of heartache. We see rabbits who’ve been abandoned, neglected, or misunderstood — and we pour our hearts into giving them the care they deserve. The vet bills, food, hay, bedding, neutering, and emergency care costs add up fast. 💸
Beyond the finances, there’s emotional weight, too — the worry over sick buns, the sadness when we can’t take in every rabbit who needs us, and the constant pressure to do more with so little. 💔
Equally, we want to give a special mention to our vets and vet staff who go above and beyond time and time again. Who love each rabbit as if they’re their own, who cry with us during the lows and celebrate with us during the successes.
We appreciate you more than you know and we send kindness to those in a career that would shatter most souls.
If you’ve ever wondered how to help, today is the perfect day to show a little kindness:
🐰 Donate if you can — every penny makes a difference.
🐰 Foster or adopt — it saves lives and eases the load.
🐰 Follow us online and share this post — raising awareness helps more than you know. We're on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Thank you to all the volunteers and vets, it takes a village. 🩷
Let’s care for those who care 🐇💞
